Truly Free CV Builder

Yes. Every template, every download format and every feature is free. There is no paywall at the download step, no watermark and no subscription. The project is open source; server costs are covered by voluntary donations.

Not to create or download one — open the editor, write your CV and download the PDF. An account is only needed to keep it: an unsaved CV lives only in the browser you used.

PDF, DOCX (Word), HTML and JSON. PDF for applying, DOCX when an employer needs to edit it, JSON as a backup of your data.

The PDF holds real text rather than an image, so applicant tracking systems can read the content. Minimal, classic and professional are the safest picks — they keep a single readable column.

One page suits most roles; two pages are normal beyond ten years of experience. Control the length by hiding sections, reordering them or reducing the font size; download the PDF to see the exact page count.

Without an account your CV stays in your own browser and never reaches the server. Save it to your account and it is stored in the database, tied to that account. The PDF, DOCX and HTML files you download are never kept on the server either way — each is generated at the moment you download it.

Five per account. That is enough to keep versions tailored to different roles; if you need another, delete one you no longer use.

If you saved it to your account, yes: it stays in your dashboard, and you can open it, edit it, switch its template and download it again. If you did not, the CV lives only in the browser you wrote it in — no other device can reach it, and clearing your browser data loses it. Changing the template never changes your content.
